EMERGENCY SERVICES

  • EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT NURSE MANAGER:
    Full-time Emergency Department Nurse Manager salaried position available for an individual who will be responsible for the quality and safety of ED nursing services 24/7, which includes day to day operation of the department, management of the personnel, planning for education needs of staff and appropriate utilization of resources needed to provide patient care. This position may provide direct patient care when personnel issues require it.  This position supervises RNs, CNAs, ED technicians and unit secretaries, and works effectively and collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, support and ancillary service personnel. Other duties may be required or delegated by the Director of Patient Care Services. Requirements: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Maine; BSN with certification in ED nursing or a willingness to pursue ED certification within first year.  Master’s Degree preferred. Five years current experience in emergency nursing; management experience preferred. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a commitment to building on and maintaining the excellent reputation of the WCGH ED throughout the State.  Self-directed, self-motivated, highly productive, positive-can do attitude. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Passionate commitment to the Code of Conduct starting with “Patients First.” Working knowledge of ED standards, EMTALA regulations and ED billing and BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.

INFECTION CONTROL AND PREVENTION COORDINATOR

  • INFECTION CONTROL AND PREVENTION COORDINATOR:
    Full-time Infection Control and Prevention Coordinator. Responsible for the hospital-wide infection control and prevention program including surveillance, best-practices, policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements.  Individual must have basic knowledge of microbiology, infectious diseases, and prevention and control. Individual must be a Registered Nurse with BSN and experience in acute care hospital nursing. Must be self-directed, self-motivated and highly productive. Excellent computer skills required. 72 hours bi-weekly.

INFORMATIONS SYSTEMS

  • PERSONAL COMPUTER TECHNICIAN/SUPPORT DESK TECHNICIAN:
    Full-time Personal Computer Technician / Support Desk Technician position available for a motivated individual to install and maintain Personal Computers, printers and desktop software as well as provide desktop support in a Help Desk environment. This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience as a Personal Computer technician or Help Desk technician, or post-high school information technology education equivalence. The successful candidate will have a high level of competency in PC software installation, maintenance, desktop support and troubleshooting, Windows operating systems, and basic knowledge of networking and telecommunications.

ORTHOPEDIC & SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY

  • PHYSICAL THERAPIST:
    Part-time Physical Therapist position available in a hospital affiliated, free standing P.T. Clinic, The Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Center. Individual selected will have orthopedic and manual therapy skills. The position iS part-time, 20-24 hours weekly; scheduling flexibility a plus. Work with a strictly orthopedic case load of varying ages, in a very professional setting

PHARMACY

  • PHARMACIST

  • Per diem Pharmacist position available. Individual will fill in when needed for week days and weekends. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Current Maine State Licensure in Pharmacy; Three (3) months hospital pharmacy; and One (1) year general pharmacy practice required.
