ANESTHESIOLOGY: the administration of drugs to relieve pain and manage vital life functions during surgery and recovery.

AUDIOLOGY & HEARING AID SERVICES: a full range of hearing services including hearing evaluations, nearly invisible digital automatic hearing aids and other new fittings, hearing aid repairs, rebuilds and batteries, custom earmolds and soundplugs.

CARDIAC REHABILITATION SERVICES: a comprehensive, multi-level program for patients with heart disease. The program offers a variety of services to meet each individual’s needs for increases in exercise capacity, education, counseling and behavioral change.

CARDIOPULMONARY SERVICES: pulmonary (lungs) and cardiac (heart) diagnostic testing as well as neurological diagnostics. Services are provided in spacious testing areas and a two-bedroom sleep laboratory.

CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE:
the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disorders.

CASE MANAGEMENT: a program designed to help patients with COPD and CHF and their doctors to increase understanding of the illness to reduce complications and improve quality of life.

DIABETES EDUCATION & CLINIC: diabetes education, targeted nutrition counseling and medication and insulin pump management.


EMERGENCY MEDICINE: the immediate treatment of conditions resulting from sudden illness or injury.

GENERAL SURGERY: the diagnosis, treatment and surgical repair of problems caused by illness or injury.


GYNECOLOGY: the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the female reproductive and urological systems.

GYNECOLOGY & OBSTETRICS: the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the female reproductive and urological systems and with caring for women during pregnancy, labor and childbirth.

HOME HEALTH & HOSPICE: in-the-home medical, physical, social and emotional care to home-bound people of all ages and those choosing to die at home.

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT: the highest available level of care for critically ill or injured patients, who are closely monitored by a team of specially educated, experienced physicians and nurses.

LABORATORY SERVICES: a full-service, clinical and pathology laboratory.

MASSAGE THERAPY & REIKI: a helpful modality for a myriad of health issues and concerns including but not limited to: arthritis, stress relief, headaches and chronic pain. Massage and Reiki can also help reduce the negative effects of stress and aid in relaxation.

NEUROLOGY: the nervous system (i.e., brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles) and its diseases.

NUTRITION SERVICES: information from a registered dietician designed to keep people healthy, eliminate the need for medication, prevent medical complications and decrease hospitalization rates.

ONCOLOGY / HEMATOLOGY: the diagnosis and treatment of tumors and blood disorders.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: comprehensive occupational health services designed to meet each company’s needs, including injury management and treatment, follow-up of injured workers at work, ergonomic assessments, on-site job analysis and assessment of a company’s health, safety and regulatory needs.

OPHTHALMOLOGY: the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, disorders and injuries.

ORTHOPEDICS: the treatment of injuries, deformities and diseases of the musculoskeletal system including bones, muscles, joints, tendons and nerves.

OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY / EAR, NOSE, THROAT (ENT): the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose and throat including speech and swallowing problems and reconstructive surgery.

PEDIATRICS: the treatment of the health needs of newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

PHYSICAL & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES: the evaluation, treatment and management of a variety of congenital, developmental, neurological and musculoskeletal or acquired disorders.

PULMONARY REHABILITATION SERVICES: treatments and therapies designed to improve physical tolerance for activity, make breathing easier and promote general well being in people suffering from asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
  
RADIOLOGY / IMAGING: the use of radiant energy, such as x-rays, ultrasound, magnets or nuclear medicine, to produce film images or computerized digital images for medical diagnosis and treatment.

SLEEP DISORDERS LAB: diagnosis of sleep disorders and specialized treatment plans and provides support and education of sleep-related disorders to aid in understanding how to maintain better sleep for better health.

SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES: services for children experiencing speech delays to help them acquire the skills necessary to effectively and clearly communicate.

SURGICAL SERVICES: care throughout the surgery experience, in either an inpatient or outpatient surgical setting. Skilled physicians, nurses and other caregivers, equipped with leading edge technology, work together as a team to deliver patient care.

UROLOGY: the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the urinary tract in men and women and disorders of the reproductive system in men.

VOICE AND SWALLOWING CENTER OF MAINE: specialized evaluation and care for individuals with voice and swallowing disorders.

WOMEN & INFANTS HEALTH CARE UNIT (WIHCU): comfort and privacy for mothers, their babies and their families during labor, delivery and recovery. The unit also assumes responsibility for the care of gynecological surgical patients.
