DIABETES CARE:The management of a serious, chronic disease characterized by a high blood glucose level using a team of healthcare professionals.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE:
The medical specialty concerned with the immediate treatment of conditions resulting from sudden illness or injury.

GENERAL SURGERY:
The diagnosis, treatment and surgical repair of problems caused by illness or injury.

GYNECOLOGY:
The branch of medicine focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the female reproductive and urological systems.

GYNECOLOGY & OBSTETRICS:
The medical specialties focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the female reproductive and urological systems and with caring for women during pregnancy, labor and childbirth.

MEDICAL ONCOLOGY / HEMATOLOGY: The specialty dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of tumors and blood disorders.

NEPHROLOGY: The science that deals with the kidneys, especially their functions or diseases.

NEUROLOGY: The medical specialty dealing with the nervous system (i.e., brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles) and its diseases.

OCCUPATIONAl MEDICINE:
The branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries occurring at work or in specific occupations.

OPHTHALMOLOGY:
The medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis and medical or surgical treatment of eye diseases, disorders and injuries.

ORTHOPEDICS:
The surgical and medical treatment of injuries, deformities and diseases of the musculoskeletal system including bones, muscles, joints, tendons and nerves.

OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY / EAR, NOSE, THROAT (ENT
):
The specialty dealing with the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the ear, nose and throat including speech and swallowing problems and reconstructive surgery.

PATHOLOGY:
The study of tissues and organs of the body in the laboratory, which includes performing autopsies.

PEDIATRICS:
The medical specialty dealing with specific health needs and problems of newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

PSYCHIATRY:
The branch of medicine that deals with mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  
RADIOLOGY / IMAGING:
The use of radiant energy, such as x-rays, ultrasound, magnets or nuclear medicine to produce film images or computerized digital images for medical diagnosis and treatment.

UROLOGY:
The diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the urinary tract in men and women and disorders of the reproductive system of men.
